My mom periodically goes on “joke forwarding” e-mail marathons… this one was so cute (and true) that I thought I would share!

REGULAR FRIENDS  vs. LATINA FRIENDS…

REGULAR FRIENDS: Never ask for food.
LATINA FRIENDS: Are the reason you have food.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Will say “hello.”
LATINA FRIENDS: Will give you a big hug and a kiss.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Have never seen you cry.
LATINA FRIENDS: Cry with you and know why you are crying without you saying a word.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Will eat at your dinner table and leave.
LATINA FRIENDS: Will spend hours there, talking, laughing and just being together, then they help you clean up.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Borrow your stuff for a few days then give it back.
LATINA FRIENDS: Keep your stuff so long they forget it’s yours.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Know a few things about you.
LATINA FRIENDS: Could write a book with direct quotes from you.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Will leave you behind if that’s what the crowd is doing.
LATINA FRIENDS: Will kick the whole crowds’ ass that left you.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Would knock on your door.
LATINA FRIENDS: Walk right in and say, “I’m home”.

REGULAR FRIENDS: Are for awhile.
LATINA FRIENDS: Are for life.
